Raid RewardsCompleting a raid gives Hero of the Village effect for 40 minutes. All villager trades are discounted heavily. Stack this with cured villager discounts for nearly-free trades.

How Raids Work

Raids trigger when a player with the Bad Omen effect enters a village. Bad Omen is obtained by killing a Pillager captain (the one carrying a banner) at outposts or patrols.

Starting a Raid

  1. Find a Pillager Outpost or patrol
  2. Kill the captain (banner carrier) to get Bad Omen
  3. Walk into a village (needs beds + villagers)
  4. Raid begins — defeat all waves to win

Preparation Checklist

Raid Farm Many players build raid farms for emeralds and Totem of Undying. The basic design uses a villager in a box over a kill chamber. Search "raid farm 1.21" for current designs.
